I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (CSW.09923711). I offer psychotherapy for adults, adolescents, families and couples. My work with clients is enlightened by my training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, group therapy, attachment research, anti-racism, and interpersonal therapy. I approach therapy with openness and curiosity, and help create change through insight and compassion. The client-therapist relationship is very important and I give this relationship space to be understood. This can be helpful when we are trying to understand who we are in relationship with others and ourselves. I am interested in identity development, eating disorders, gender issues, group therapy, trauma, relational issues, addictions, substance abuse, and white privilege awareness.
I focus some of my time on the dynamics created by racism and white privilege by facilitating groups on micro-aggressions, running community groups on unlearning racism, and providing racism and privilege topic specific therapy groups.
Additionally I provide a sliding scale so that I might be able to provide therapy to low-income individuals because therapy is important for everyone.
