Sometimes life can be frustrating because it can feel like no matter how hard you try, your needs are not getting met in a satisfying way. I work closely with you to help you find healing and balance in your life. My goal is to support, validate, and meet you in the here-and-now with compassion and in a nonjudgmental way. You can be newly inspired to find what motivates and matters to you. I want to get to know you, what matters to you, what learning style works best, and understand the best ways to support you. Often people find themselves needing support in times of distress, interpersonal conflict, or when feeling confused after unexpected life events.

My post and pre-graduate experience adds up to approximately 20 years in assisting families to connect and heal. I utilize client-centered, realistic, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, creative, and trauma-informed practices. I worked directly with families to manage emotional and behavioral challenges. My experience includes directly helping trauma survivors as well as helping professionals with workplace stress and secondary trauma. I have worked closely with teens and adults struggling with anxiety, self-harm, depression, and anger issues. My dedication is to create an environment for healing, recovery, and self exploration. I offer practical and creative solutions customized to meet your needs. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado and an active member of the National Board of Certified Counselors. I have 6+ years experience and certification in the use of Collaborative Problem Solving, an evidence-based approach at building relationships, improving communications, and building practical life skills. I am a graduate of Regis University (2010) with a Masters in Counseling. I graduated in 1995 with a BA in Sociology from CU Boulder with a concentration in Criminology.

On a personal note, I raised 2 children who are now young adults. I have experienced first hand the struggles of divorce recovery, co-parenting,  business ownership, and understand the importance of balancing personal and professional worlds. My favorite activities include basketball, racquetball, swimming, sketching, painting, walking my dog, watching comedy movies, and reading.

Days, Evenings, & Weekends. Individualized approach to meet your needs. You are the expert on you. Together we will design an approach based on your needs and learning style. We can discover what motivates or inspires and heals you.
