Mental Health Professionals

Are you tired of returning to the same patterns of behavior that seem to be causing you more harm than good? Do you feel isolated and struggle to connect with others? Do you sometimes feel that intense emotions are running your life and harming your relationships and yourself regard? Maybe you feel stuck, overwhelmed and confused about where to begin or how to start making changes.

If so, you are not alone. I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 12 years of experience working with individuals and groups struggling in various capacities in their lives. I consider it an honor and a gift to help people explore the underlying causes of suffering and forge new ways of being in the world that allow for greater freedom, presence and wholeness.

My passion is to work with people in transition. Life is full of them! If you are a college student transitioning into young adulthood, newly coupled or separated, a new parent, or an empty-nester or elder who is contemplating the “what’s next” of life, I would love to join you on your journey. I also serve those coping with depression, anxiety, shame, self-aggression and loneliness.

I believe whole-heartedly that while suffering is universal and our most challenging teacher, so too is our shared humanity, resilience, humor, wisdom and longing for connection. I will sit with you as someone fully human. As a daughter of aging parents, a sibling, a partner in a 14-year marriage and a parent of two daughters, I am well acquainted with the overwhelming difficulties life can bring. Our work will be collaborative. I will offer you a place a non-judgement and empathy and I will also challenge you to grow. I am a firm believer in finding humor in our lives and work.

My style of work is eclectic; I use both psychodynamic and CBT approaches, I incorporate a mindfulness based approach and trust the capacity of the mind/body connection to foster healing. I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and have run DBT groups for seven years.

Feel free to call me with any questions you may have about therapy. We can talk on the phone or meet in person for a free 30-minute consultation. Thank you for visiting my page and I wish you well on your journey.
