Jennifer is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate in Boulder, CO and the surrounding metropolitan area. She provides individual and group counseling services to those who are seeking support in life’s journey and who wish to initiate change and growth. Jennifer will work with you to create a life that is lived with improved inner strength, conscious sense of choice, greater personal understanding and confidence.
Jennifer believes that growth and change are a life long process and a natural part of the human experience. Embarking on the journey of self-reflection is a brave and challenging process. Jennifer will walk beside you on this journey providing support, humor, compassion and a safe place to land. Seeking support along the way is a sign that you want to make yourself a priority. She will unite with you to discover the unexpected and possibly uneasy parts of your life without judgment.
You can expect your experience with Jennifer to provide an empathetic and comforting partner on your journey. She will be your mirror, your witness, and your guide. Together you will explore questions that can include such issues as “Who am I?” and “Where am I going in this world?” or “How do I heal my relationships?” You may also explore concepts and situations in life that are traumatic, unexpected, and painful.
Jennifer’s approach to counseling is pragmatic, creative, informative, and above all compassionate. Existential theory of counseling is a primary lens that Jennifer uses. This theory explores the deeper or more esoteric roots of life’s experience focusing on what can get in the way of your personal empowerment and choice. You can also expect play and creativity to be a part of your therapy.
She experiences life as containing three aspects- body, mind and spirit. Within life and within counseling she seeks to find balance and understanding in each area in order to improve personal growth and gain a stronger sense of self. It is within the process of attending to all three that provides insight and can shed light on the past, present and future of your journey.
The word journey means to travel from one place to another, often taking a very long time. Our lives are usually not short and to make the most of what we have takes courage, self-determination and a little help along the way. It is a pleasure and a privilege to provide a little help to you along your journey.
