Hello! My name is Lorin Terrell and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. I received my education at the University of Oregon, where I earned a master's degree in Couples and Family Therapy. During my clinical training, I received many hours of instruction specifically related to working with couples and families. I am also trained in EMDR and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
I have extensive experience treating a variety of clinical problems including depression, anxiety, and trauma. However, my passion is working with women and girls on issues such as body image, self-harm, relationships, friendship aggression, grief and loss, parenting, spirituality etc. I especially love working with teenage girls and young adult women to help them explore their identity and support them in becoming who they want to be. My goal is to create a positive and supportive space where women of all ages can RISE.
As a Colorado native, I enjoy skiing, snow shoeing, hiking and being outdoors. Yoga keeps me balanced. I am a major bookworm and can often be found curled up in my reading chair with a cozy blanket. My partner and our two dogs (Denver and Boots) keep my life fun and interesting!
