I'm a bit of a therapy chameleon in that I can listen without judgement, I am comfortable with challenging you in a respectful manner, I can offer suggestions for ways you can cope with and manage your struggles, and I can guide you to find the solution within yourself. In a therapy session, I create a calm place where you will feel comfortable to share you thoughts and feelings. If you are stuck in sharing your story, I will ask questions that are stimulating and beneficial in helping you to think about things in a different manner. I really, truly want to know what your experience is like. The only way I know how to help you is to get inside your head and find out how you operate. During your therapy sessions, your only job is to be as you as you can be. My job is to facilitate change.
Each and every one of us is born as perfect bundles of joy. We are born trusting our instincts and knowing how to breathe deeply. We know how to play, create, and love without holding back. As we grow, we replace our primal intuition with negative false beliefs, which include fear, shame, and self-doubt. This can lead to emotional and physical pain or addiction. Or, we can begin to question our negative beliefs and realize therapy is the secret to creating change.
