I am originally from Italy, and I hold an M.S. in Counseling with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from San Diego State University. I received my clinical training at the Center for Community Counseling and Engagement in San Diego where I supported individuals, couples, and families on a wide variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, academic/work-related stress, sexual identity and orientation, self-esteem, pregnancy-related issues, couples and family dynamics.
I hold a Ph.D. in Italian literature from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. I taught Italian language, literature, and culture at UC-San Diego, the University of San Diego, Colby College and CU-Boulder. My work as a professor has provided me with first-hand experience with both the opportunities and the challenges that students, faculty, and staff face in the academic setting. I work with the college population to lessen the effects of those challenges and support their personal and academic growth.
My fee is $100 an hour. I offer a discounted fee of $50 an hour to full-time college students. I accept credit cards, checks, cash, and sliding-scale fees.
