As a therapist, my favorite part of therapy is being able to hear each person's unique story. So often our stories go untold or unheard. I would like to change that and welcome individuals to share their journey with me. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) in the state of Colorado with a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University. My Master’s degree program was CACREP (Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs) accredited holding me to high ethical standards and diverse training encompassing various subject matters. I am also certified with the National Board of Certified Counselors as a National Certified Counselor (NCC). In addition to my current designations, I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) through an EMDRIA approved program and will be working toward certification.
I work with individuals on healing trauma, eating disorders, disordered eating, body image struggles, improving self-esteem and creating an overall more positive self-concept. While these are my main areas of focus, I also help clients with underlying factors such as depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationships, etc. Allow me the opportunity to sit down with you, hear your story and find the best possible solutions together to remove or minimize the obstacles you are struggling with.
Aside from my education & clinical experience, I know firsthand what it is like to have experienced trauma, unhealthy relationships with food, the scale, body image and self-esteem. You can take back control and have a life where you are free from these shackles that are holding you back. Please visit my website newdirectionscolorado.com to learn more.
