I love my work as a therapist and am grateful for the opportunity to help people make positive changes in their lives and to move towards a greater acceptance of themselves. I have a small, part time, practice which allows me to focus the time and energy needed to serve each client and their unique therapy needs. I use a variety of therapeutic models, with an emphasis on Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. I also believe in group therapy as a valuable way to learn and practice coping skills in a safe environment. My experience working in an inpatient psychiatric hospital setting for 7 yrs has equipped me to manage acute symptoms and some of the most difficult mental health issues, in a private practice setting. I welcome you to therapy and congratulate you for making a decision to help yourself - this is often the most courageous thing one will ever do for themselves - ask for help and then be willing to accept it.
