I work with people whose lives have been dominated by shameful and damaging messages about themselves. Many of these people have experienced trauma, spiritual abuse, or identify as LGBTQ. I help people confront those messages, find the truth about themselves and rewrite their stories into empowering, joyful and fulfilling ones.
Most people have at least one time in their lives when they need some outside support. Sometimes all we need is supportive friends and family to listen, but sometimes we need more. That could be because the circumstances are too overwhelming, or the issues are too personal to share with family and friends. You might need specific information about an issue. This is where I come in. I believe therapy is most effective when it is collaborative. I provide an objective perspective, experience and knowledge. You bring your experience. Together we discover what will help you on your journey.
My career has been exciting and diverse. I have been a preschool teacher, investigated allegations of elder abuse and neglect, worked with women in human trafficking, and adults with autism. I have walked with people through many stages of life and feel this gives me a unique and holistic perspective.
