Rick Carter    LPC

Mental Health Professionals

I have worked in a variety of therapeutic settings including outpatient therapy, residential treatment and inpatient hospital. My treatment approach is cognitive behavioral which works to solve current problems by changing unhelpful thinking and behavior. Talking about your issues is important, but taking action to address them creates positive change. I help people move ahead in their lives by supporting new goals for change and a path to get there. With children in particular their families need to be involved, and sometimes make changes themselves, to support positive change.
