Making the choice to seek counseling takes courage. Sometimes the obstacles we face create emotional and relational difficulties that interfere with everyday life and become difficult to cope with. I specialize in providing skillful support and guidance to tweens, teens and young adults struggling with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationships and life transitions, in addition to school related issues including, learning, attention and other emotional and behavioral difficulties..
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and hold a Master's degree in clinical social work from the University of Pittsburgh. I am also a licensed school counselor and school social worker with a Masters from the University of Colorado-Denver.
I offer a holistic approach to counseling, drawing from a combination of evidenced-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing and integrate these along with skill-based techniques. In my work with clients, I build upon existing strengths and developing concrete skills and strategies that lead to positive change.
